What a crap session - Rob got off well (big swell near beach and no wind) on the lightning with 8.5.As I attempted to launch with 9.4 on the cat a large wave broke over me,my mast sticks in the shingle and snaps (and it's my new mast) With Rob miles away out by the river mouth I have no option but to rig 7.5 and flounder out.After a couple of okay runs in Bawdsey bay the wind drops light and with the tide going out it takes us an hour to get back.We made it back before it gets dark - just and it's really getting cold too !!!!!!
